Obituary

Henry A. Sabina, 86, a life long resident of Brockton, died at his home on August 2, 2009 of natural causes. He was the husband of Hazel M. (Delaney) Sabina; son of the late Joseph and Blanche (Macewicz) Sabina; and brother of the late John Sabina and Stacia Kowalski. He is survived by one son Michael Cutting of Jupiter, FL, two grandchildren Michelle Prevett and Michael Cutting, Jr; two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Henry served in the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theatre aboard the USS Doyen and USS LCI (L) 457. Following the war, he was employed by Porter Patent Leather, Randy Boat Shoe and Massasoit Community College. He was a member of the Mitchell Club in Middleboro, Our Lady of Ostrobrama Church and St. Colman Church.

He will be remembered as a caring, devoted family-man and loyal friend. He was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed spending time cooking, baking and gardening.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish/St. Colman Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-8pm.
