Joyce H. (Hannigan) Lynch, 86, A longtime resident of Andover, MA. died at her home on Sunday, August 2, 2009.
She was born on September 19, 1922 in Methuen, Massachusetts, to James and Bertha (Taylor) Hannigan. She was educated in St. Augustine's Grammar School in Lawrence, MA. and was a graduate of Lawrence High School Class of 1939. She was a long time parishioner of St. Augustine Church in Andover, MA. According to her family she was an avid reader, and she loved to do crossword puzzles. She also loved to travel with her children to places like Arizona, Ireland, and California. Mrs. Lynch was a supporter of the American Red Cross, the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
She is the wife of the late Francis "Frank" D. Lynch and she is survived by two daughters: Sandra Krause and her husband Dennis of Atkinson, NH, and Donna Boren and her husband Arthur of San Jose, California, also two sons: Brian Lynch and his wife Andrea Zaimes of Andover, MA, and Randall Lynch and his partner Michael Dalterio of New Castle, NH. One sister Rosemarie Davis of Montville, Maine. Five grandchildren: A. Douglas Boren and his wife Liz of California, Deanna L. Huffman and her husband Niko of Arizona, Athena and Caleb Lynch of Andover and Nathaniel Lynch of New Castle, NH. and two great grandsons: Connor and Andrew Boren of California as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 10:00AM at St. Augustine Church in Andover, MA. A burial will follow in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover, MA.
