Obituary

Margaret M. “Peg” Schick, 61, of Christopher Drive, died Sunday at her home after a long, spirited fight. She was surrounded by her loving family in the finals stages of her journey. She was the beloved wife of Arthur G. Schick, DDS.

Born in Boston, MA, to the late Joseph and Margaret M. (Gallagher) Daly she grew up in Randolph, MA, eventually settling with her family in Greenville in 1985. She was a Reading Recovery Teacher at Northern Elementary in Lincoln. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Boston State University and her Master’s Degree from Rhode Island College. It was in working with young students that she found her true passion. She was an ongoing communicant of St. Philip Church.

Besides her husband she is survived by her children; Jason A. Schick of Arlington, VA, Jeanne M. Smith and her husband Lannom of Galveston, TX,and Michael J. Schick of Branford, CT, a sister Helen Lynch of Hingham, MA, and three brothers Jack Daly of Bedford, NH, Paul Daly, of Plymouth, MA, and Edward Daly of Randolph MA.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30 am from the Anderson Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Philip Church, 618 Putnam Pike, Greenville at 9:30am.. Burial will follow in Boston. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Family Literacy Center, 11 Winter Street, Manville, RI 02938.
