Mrs. Caterina Bruno, age 92 of Medford died Sunday at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Michele Bruno.
Born and educated in Mirabella, Eclano Italy, the daughter of the late Augostino and Colomba (Morelli)Guarino. She emigrated to the United States in 1955 and settled in Boston’s North End. She moved to Medford in 1974. She worked as a Stitcher, in the tailoring and fine garment industry. Well known as a great cook, family meals and get togethers were commonplace. She enjoyed gardening, however children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the focal point of her life.
She is survived by four daughters: Antonietta Fiore and her husband Guiseppe, Eleanor Wright and her husband John, Alba Ranzino and her husband Tony, Columbia Pace and her husband Domenic all of Medford. Loving grandmother of Rosa, George, Julie, Anthony, Chris, Lisa, Danny and Michael. Great Grandmother of 12 Great Grandchildren. Sister of Elena Iovanna, Delfina Federico and her husband Pasquale, Joe Guarino, Guido Guarino and his wife Pasqualina all of East Boston. Sister of the late Ernest Guarino and Maria Bruno. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, Friday at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
