Mary Benullo, age 99, died in Winchester, July 31, 2009, after a brief illness. Born in Brienza, Italy, Mary has been a Woburn resident since 1912, at the age of 2 years old.
Mary was an administrative secretary and has worked at numerous businesses over the years, including International Fertilizer of Woburn and Boyle Insurance Co. of Woburn which she retired from in 1975. She attended Woburn school and graduated from the high school in 1918. Mary was also a member of the Woburn sons of Italy.
Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Carmella (Marrone) & Michael Benullo. Loving sister of Angelina Gunsher of Danvers, Edith Rastellini of Woburn, Rita Benullo of Boston and the late Anna Tuttle, Margaret Blanchard, Joseph and Felix & Michael Benullo. Devoted aunt of Ethel Benullo of Woburn and several other loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Monday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Mary's name to a charity of your choice.
