Louise Langford Darnell, 98, Clarksville, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. Cynthia Talley officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday and from 10:00 AM until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born in Springfield,TN on June 13, 1911. Mrs Louise was a life-long member of Bethel United Methodist Church, spent most of her life as a homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother, and a friend to all and for a time she worked at Darnell and Bellamy Loose Floor. She preceded in death by her parents and her husband Frank Darnell. Christ commands us to serve one another in love. Meme was that example to so many. She rocked children countless hours, Made, mended, and washed enough clothes to clothe an army, Read a library of books to children and helped with homework, Planted, picked, and cooked enough food to feed a nation, Listened to the problems of friends and family, and Cared for the sick and dying. There have been very few like her. She truly was a Proverbs 31 woman. She is survived by children Millie Johnson and Harold(Danni)Darnell:Grandchildren Sherry and Rick Scott, Nancy and Jeff Colt, Hughes and Didi Johnson, Fount and Lydia Darnell, Emily Darnell, Jena Reece, John Reece, Katelyn Reece; great-grandchildren Tim Scott, Greg Scott, Hunter Colt, Sam Colt, Abby Johnson, Alison Johnson, Samuel Johnson and Stephen Johnson.
