RICE, MARGARET "ADELE," 82, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2009.
She was a former employee for AT&T, a member of the American Legion Post #220 and the VFW Post 1181.
She will be dearly missed by her family and her AT&T and Legion friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 years, Martin Rice.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Heitz (Phil); grandson, Joshua Wright (Stephanie); great-grandson, Kaedyne Wright; stepgrandsons, Brandon and Nathan Heitz; and her sister, JoAnn Doolittle (Jimmie).
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests charitable contributions be made to Hosparus, Louisville Alzheimer's Association , or the Shelby County Humane Society, 40 North 7th Street, Shelbyville, KY. 40065.
