SALEM - Cynthia A. (Dash) Silva, 46, wife of Barry M. Silva, of Salisbury, formerly of Gloucester & Salem, died Wednesday morning, July 29, 2009 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Home, Danvers.
Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of Douglas C. Dash of Salem and the late Patricia A. (Kilderry) Dash, who died on June 30, 2009. Raised is Salem, Cynthia, known by her friends as “Dash” lived in Gloucester for six years before moving to Salisbury , where she has resided for the past 12 years.
Prior to her retirement in 2008 due to her illness, Mrs. Silva was employed as a phlebotomist at Beverly Hospital for over 20 years.
Besides her husband, with whom she shared 18 years of marriage and her father, she is survived by one daughter, Amy Silva of Salisbury, a Sophomore at the Triton Regional High School, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Terrence and Laura Dash of Raleigh, NC, Kevin and Christine Dash of Beverly, three sisters-in-law and their spouses, Cindy and Rick Clayton, Roberta and Richie Cousins and Jennifer Silva, all of Gloucester and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Douglas D. Dash.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 10 am in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. There are no visiting hours.
