WORCESTER___Sophie M. (Plona) Ledoux, 93, formerly of 77 Fox St. Worcester, died Friday, July 24, 2009 in Saint Francis Home, 101 Plantation St. Her husband, John F. Ledoux died in 1987. She is survived by a sister, Laura Wolosz. Sophie was born in Central Falls, RI, a daughter of Alexander and Josephine (Prajs) Plona.
Mrs. Ledoux, worked as a waitress in various restaurants in the Worcester area before she retired. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed music, subsequently becoming a historian of musicians’ lives. Sophie was also a gifted vaudeville actor.
The funeral will be held on Friday, July 31, 2009 with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward. St.
