Antoinette L. (Anastasi) Rideout, 93, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Tuesday, July 28. She was the wife of 48 years of Robert D. Rideout. Born in Dorchester, she was educated in Boston schools. She was a resident of Stoughton since 1962. Mrs. Rideout was a bookkeeper for Bonded Oil in Allston for 6 years before retiring many years ago. She was a chaplain for the Sons of Italy in Easton and the Middleboro Emblem Club with the Elks. An avid seamstress, she also enjoyed crafts.
Mrs. Rideout was the mother of Laraine Halpin and her husband Joseph of Weymouth, Jacqueline Rice of Forestdale and the late Walter Rideout. She was the mother-in-law of Rose Rideout of NH and the late Cephus Rice. She was the sister of Jennie Dino of RI, Joseph Anastasi of Brockton and the late Nancy, Nicholas and Charles Anastasi and Mary Dias. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday at Noon. Visiting Hour prior from 11 AM-Noon. Burial will take place at the VA National Cemetery, Bourne. Due to floral restrictions at the cemetery, donations in Antoinette’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.
