Brother of James of Brockton; Maureen Smith of Brewster; Jane Twoomey of Chatham; Nancy McLellan of Chatham; Michael of Canton; Peter of Holbrook; Sheila Gaynor of Chatham and Sally Strickland of Rockland.
Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, North Easton ay 10 am. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 pm. Obituary
Mr. Gaynor died Friday morning at is home after a lengthy illness.He was born in Randolph, a son of the late James and Loretta (McInerney) Gaynor and for the past 43 years he has been a resident of Brockton.
Mr. Gaynor was a graduate of Stetson High School in Randolph Class of 1948. He was elected into the Randolph Schoolboy Hall of Fame in 1994 as a standout three sport athlete.Upon his graduation he served in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged. He then attended Boston University.
He began a lengthy career in the construction industry. His passion was football-youth, high school college and professional, which mirrored his own experience which culminated at the semi-pro level.
Mr. Gaynor enjoyed reading, history and politics.
