Louis C. LaBombard age 84 of Pocasset, formerly of Canton passed away July 27th at the Falmouth Hospital. Born in Canton, he graduated from Canton High School and Burdett College and was an Navy Veteran of WW II. He lived his entire life in Canton until 2003 when he started alternating his seasons between Pocasset & Fort Pierce, FL. He was a member of Wampatuk Golf Club in Canton where he served on the Board, a member of the Canton Town Club, Quashnet Valley Country Club in Mashpee and Pocasset Country Club. He also enjoyed participating in the weekly ceremonies with the Canton Veteran’s Service Department dedicating street corners to the memory of the 46 Canton Fallen Heroes. He worked as an Accountant for New London Mills for several years and later opened his own Accounting Practice in Canton before retiring in 1985. Beloved brother of Dorothy M. LaBombard of Pocasset, Margaret A. Halloran & her husband John of Canton & the late Eleanor F. LaBombard. Uncle of Jack Halloran of CT, Mary Ann Cummings & Jean Schmiedel both of N. Andover. Great uncle of Emily Cummings & Colleen Schmiedel both of N. Andover. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Thursday morning at 11. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Thursday morning prior to the mass from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton.
