McHATTON- Of Tewksbury, formerly of Chelsea, July 22nd, at 83 years of age. Devoted husband for 61 years od Rose M. (Trainor) McHatton. Beloved father of Leo A. "Buddy" McHatton, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Chelsea, Patricia M. Fothergill and her husband Chelsea Fire Chief Herbert C. "Chuck" Fothergill, Jr. of Tewksbury. Cherished grandfather of Kelli Lyn and her husband Eddie, Craig, Colleen and KristaRose. Adoring great grandfather of Michael and Megan. Born and raised in Chelsea, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Ella C. (Floyd) McHatton. Dear brother of the late Charles McHatton and Katherine Buckler. Mr. McHatton was a retired member of the Chelsea Police Department and a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Wednesday, july 29th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Michael the Archangel Chapel on the grounds of the Chelsea Soldiers Home, 91 Crest Avenue, Chelsea at 10 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
