Beverly J. (Medor) Griffin, 74, of Manchester died July 25, 2009 at Elliot Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Boston, MA on April 12, 1935, she was the daughter of Percy and Mildred (Phelps) Medor. In recent years, she lived in Manchester and Newmarket. In her younger years, she spent summers in Kingston on Kingston Lake.
Mrs. Griffin worked in customer service for several businesses for many years. She had also worked in the lunch room at Sanborn High School in Kingston.
She was proud of her Indian heritage and was a member of the Abenaki Indian Tribe. She enjoyed animals and time spent with her family.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Kimberly Villers in 1998.
The family includes eight children, Patricia Desrosiers of Nottingham, Cathy Seavey of Dallas, TX, Robert Griffin of Oregon, Susan Ayer of Hudson, Frank Griffin of Dallas, TX, Richard Purdy of Keene, Linda Purdy of Manchester and Kenneth Griffin of Omaha, NE; 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Brookside Congregational Church, 2013 Elm St., Manchester. Rev. Dr. Dawn Berry officiated.
