Robert W. Burgess, 42. of New Bedford died January 10, 2002.
He was the son of William H. Burgess of New Bedford and Jean (Miller) Burgess of Florida.
Mr. Burgess was born in New Bedford and had lived in New Bedford for most of his life. He was a graduate of New Bedford High School.
His hobby was working on automobiles and he loved animals.
Survivors include his parents; his stepmother, Agnes Burgess of New Bedford; his former wife, Debra Burgess Ferreira of Acushnet; 2 sons, Robert J. Burgess of New Bedford and Daniel L. Burgess of Acushnet; a brother, William H. Burgess, III, of Florida; 2 sisters, Joyce Felix of Florida and Susan Lawrence of Acushnet; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, Monday, January 14th at 11AM.
Visiting hours Sunday, January 13th from 5-8 PM.
Interment Rural Cemetery.
