Obituary

Jesup - Mr. Sidney Moseley, Jr., age 88, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009 at his residence under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

He was born in Camden, S.C. and had lived in Wayne County for 65 years. He was a retired mechanic from Dents Buick with over 38 years of service. He was an avid fisherman, gardener, and a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of Odum Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Earl Moseley and two grandsons, Chris Moseley and Gregory Moseley.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mrs. Robbie Ogden Moseley of Jesup; two daughters and a son-in-law, Gail Thompson, and Patty Yeargan (Joe) of Jesup; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert Gene Moseley (Dana), Dave Moseley, and Roger Moseley (Tina), all of Jesup; a daughter-in-law, Linda Moseley of Jesup; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Chalmes Moseley and Raymond Moseley (Helen), of Camden, S.C., and Ruth Moseley of Anderson, S.C.; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 27, 2009 from 6-8 P.M. at the Howard-Jones-Nobles Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 11:00 am from the Odum Baptist Church with Rev. Gabe Gill and Rev. Carl Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be Kevin Moseley, Kell Moseley, Brent Moseley, Brandon Moseley, Stanley Moseley, Richard Thompson, Gregory Browning, and Bobby Browning.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Leggett, Randy Leggett, Robert Dart, Thad Brackin and the men of Odum Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of South Georgia Building Fund, 117 Drenon Drive, Jesup, Georgia 31545.
