SPENCER: Stanley R. Lemerise,82, of 40 G.H. Wilson Rd., died Friday, July 24 at Quaboag on the Common in W.Brookfield.
He leaves his wife of 58 years Elizabeth A. (Stanikmas) Lemerise, three sons Kim Brian Lemerise and his wife Nancy of Boylston, Mark A. Lemerise and his wife Donna of Spencer and Frank A. Lemerise and his wife Tammy of Cape Coral, Fl., two daughters Lisa A. Fischer and her husband Kurt of Arlington, and Andrea L. Thurlow and her husband David of Leicester, three grand children Tonia Smith of Sterling, Jamie Lemerise of Rutland and Carla Davis of Cherry Valley, three great grand children Jordan Davis, Walker Davis and Morgan Smith, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother Kenneth Lemerise.
Stanley, was a sheetmetal worker for W.J. Callahan Co. in Worcester for 17 years, retiring in 1988. Previously he worked for many years at W.A. Patterson and Lusignan Brothers in Worcester.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Frank A. and Aline A. (Charbonneau) Lemerise and later graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, a member of the Local 63- Springfield Sheetmetal Worker’s Union. At onetime he was an avid motorcyclist and a member of the “Friendly Riders Motorcycle Club” in Worcester. He was an avid dog lover.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 28 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow with Military Honors in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours for Stanley are Monday, July 27 from 4 to 7p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Activities Dept., Quaboag on the Common, 47 E.Main St., W.Brookfield or Guardian Hospice, P.O.
