Dorothy E. (Fowler) Phillips, 103, died Friday, July 24 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Roy F. Phillips. Born in Brockton , she was educated in Stoughton Schools. She lived in Stoughton for most of her life before moving to the Baypointe Nursing Home in Brockton 3 years ago. Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by her children June E. Howard, Frank A. Phillips and his wife Lena D. Phillips and Dorothy George all of Stoughton and John E. “Jack” Phillips and his wife Jackie of GA. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her son Roy F. Phillips Jr. She was the sister of Mildred Clark of Easton and preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, July 27 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-5 PM. Donations in Dorothy‘s name may be made to the Capital Campaign, First Congregational Church of Stoughton, 76 Pierce St., Stoughton, MA 02072 .
