Lillian Mae Willard Ackerman Rowell, 95, of North Charleston, wife of Jacob Rowell, died Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Life Care Center of Charleston.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2009 at St. James United Methodist Church, Goose Creek. Burial will be held at Riverview Memorial Park, Charleston. Friends and Family may call on Friday evening, July 24, 2009 from 6 until 8 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville.
Mrs. Rowell was born February 15, 1914 in Bishopville, SC, daughter of the late Fleming David Ackerman and Lulu Christine Miller Ackerman. She worked with the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts for many years. As a faithful member of St. James United Methodist Church, she kept the children’s nursery for 25 years. She loved doing hand work, cake decorating and making jewelry. She worked at Kiddyland and Sharon’s Children’s Shop. Her many selfless acts of love and kindness to family and friends will always be treasured.

2 Sisters: Christine Fersner of Orangeburg, SC and Joyce Elizabeth Stelling of Summerville, SC.
She was predeceased by her parents and 1 Brother: F.D. Ackerman and 1 Sister: Vivian Elaine Moore.
