DRACUT - Lina H. (Leclerc) Lamarche, 90, of Dracut, died Tuesday evening July 14, 2009, in the Radius Northwood Healthcare Center, Lowell. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo Lamarche who predeceased her in 1985.
Born in Manchester, NH on December 5, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Deiana (Melancon) Leclerc. She received her education in the Manchester school system.
In her early years Mrs. Lamarche had been employed by the former Educator Biscuit and the former McGowan Cracker Factory both in Lowell. More recently and until the time of her retirement, she was employed as a Nurse's Aide by the EN Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford.
In her free time she enjoyed knitting and crocheting, she was an avid Red Sox fan and she cherished the time she spent in the company of her family, especially her grandchildren
Surviving her are four daughters Louise A. Sigman of Dracut and with whom she resided, Priscille (Lamarche) Sigman of Dracut, Irene Herrington of Dayton, OH and Dorothy Wood and her husband Mike of Willow Springs, NC; two sons Armand Lamarche and his wife Claire of N. Billerica and Roger Lamarche and his wife Doris of Lowell; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Louise Marquis and Ernest and Armand Leclerc
Friends may call at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Friday from 4 until 8 PM. Her Funeral will be held from the funeral home on Saturday at 10 AM followed by Committal Prayers and interment at 11 AM in the Chapel of Memories at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
