Evans, GA – Dr. Edward John Law, Jr., 75, husband of Mrs. Betty Marie Law, entered into rest on Tuesday July 14, 2009 at Doctor’s Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday July 18, 2009 at The Church of Our Savior with the Rev. Lou Scales celebrant.
Dr. Law was a graduate of New York University and Washington Square College where he studied pre-med. He received his medical degree from State University of New York. Dr. Law served in Vietnam as a medic from 1966 until 1968. He was a graduate of NYCU in New York and was a very dedicated doctor. Dr. Law was a surgeon for many years at Shriners Hospital in Cincinnati, OH and eventually retired from Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta, GA. He was a long time member of The Church of Our Savior in Martinez, GA. Dr. Law had a love for fine art, outdoor wildlife, nature, and reading. He was a complicated man with simple desires and when asked once about his life, he commented that “he wouldn’t have changed a thing”.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son; Tracey B. Law and wife Deborah of Milford, OH, his daughter; Jacqueline Williamson of Augusta, GA, and one granddaughter; Synamon Parrott of Augusta, GA.
The family will receive friends in the Parrish Hall following the service.
