Elizabeth J. (McManus) Currier, 84 of Franklin died suddenly July 20 in her home. She was the wife of the late Edmund L. Currier who died in 1990.
Born in Attleboro, December 24, 1924, the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Heatherington) McManus, Mrs. Currier was raised in North Attleboro and had lived in Plainville for several years before coming to Franklin in 1963.
A homemaker, Mrs. Currier had been a telephone operator for the New England Telephone Company in her younger days.
Mrs. Currier enjoyed, reading, doing puzzles, cooking and was an avid fan of the Red Sox and Patriots.
She is survived by her sons, Peter E. Currier of Attleboro, Brian F. Currier of Londonderry, New Hampshire, Mark S. Currier of Franklin and Michael J. Currier of Derwood, Maryland. She is also survived by her daughters, Deborah A. Currier of Franklin, Judith M. Enegren of Franklin and Christine E. Currier of Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
She is also survived by her sister, Eleanor McNally of North Attleboro and 10 grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, July 24 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin. 131 Main St., Franklin at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
