Eileen F. (O'Leary) Camelio, a 4 year resident of Saugus and former 25 year resident of Melrose, died on Monday, July 20, 2009, at Winchester Hospital in Winchester after a brief illness. She was 59 years old.
Eileen was born in Boston on October 26, 1949. She grew up in Dorchester where she attended St. Margaret's Parochial School and graduated from Monsignor Ryan High School in 1967. Eileen worked for the United States Government in their passport division as an interviewer for more than 10 years. She loved bowling and most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her husband, 3 children and her grandchildren.
Eileen is the adored wife of 40 years to Robert Camelio. She is the devoted mother of Lyn Fragala and her husband James of Andover, Robert Camelio, Jr., and his wife Kathleen of Melrose and William "Billy" Camelio and his wife Elizabeth of Wallingford, CT. She is the loving Momoe to her 3 Grandsons and 2 Grandaughters. She is the beloved sister of Pauline M. O'Leary of Melrose and the late Maureen B. O'Leary. She is the beloved daughter of the late William and Brigid (Hickey) O'Leary. She is the beloved niece of Michael Hegarty and his late wife Shiela of Quincy. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Eileen's Funeral will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2009, at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main Street, Melrose, followed by her Funeral Mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main Street, Wakefield, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be on Friday, July 24, 2009, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
