William J. Porell, husband of Pamela J. (Pineo) Porell, died at his Center Ossipee, NH home on July 19, 2009.
He was 81.
Born in Middleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Ellen M. (McDonald) Porell.
Educated in Middleboro, MA schools, he later served in the U.S. Navy during WW II.
He worked as a truck driver in the Middleboro, MA area for over 30 years, before moving to NH in 1990, where he was employed as an incinerator weigh master for the town of Center Ossippe, and was a member of the Center Ossipee VFW Post 8270.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, John J. Brady and his wife Kathleen of Freedom, NH; a daughter, Elizabeth M. Houde and her husband Jeff of Norton, MA; 4 grandchildren, Tyler and Troy Houde of Norton, MA and Deziree and Jon Brady of Freedom, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, MA on Friday, July 24th at 11 a.m. followed by burial at Cedar Knoll Cemetery, East Taunton, MA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 23rd from 4 to 7 p.m.
