Damon Stone, 45, of Tifton, Georgia, died Sunday, July 19, 2009 at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 Thursday morning, July 23, at Pinetta Cemetery in Irwin County, with Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 Thursday morning at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Damon was born August 28, 1963 in Fitzgerald to the late Rev. Bobby Stone and the late Sherry Dement Tullos. He was a 1982 graduate of Fitzgerald High School, graduated from Ben-Hill Irwin Tech and attended ABAC. Damon lived in Tifton for the past several years and worked as a welder for Tifton Sheet Metal. He was a member of Englewood Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Amelia & Kevin McElyea of Franklin, IN, Teresa & Rolando Diaz of Brookville, FL and Pam & Tony Armas of Breman, GA; stepmother: Veleta Stone of Ocilla and several nieces and nephews.
