WEBSTER/ALBUQUERQUE, NM - George Edward “Eddie” Lefebvre, 84, of Albuquerque, formerly of Webster, died June 23 in Albuquerque after an illness.
He leaves 2 daughters, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and a granddaughter.
He was born and raised in Webster, son of George and Eva (Nolin) Lefebvre. He moved to California in 1950. He graduated from Saint Anne’s Elementary School.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 75th Infantry Division. He was a prisoner of war in Germany, captured during the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded a Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart and the Prisoner of War Medal.
Mr. Lefebvre was a sales manager at the former C. T. Sherer Company in Worcester before moving to California He owned and operated “The Styx” and grille in Long Beach, CA before retiring.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 25, at 9:15 AM in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Old Worcester Road, Webster. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will provide the military honors. There are no calling hours. Donations in his name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Mass. Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster.
