Glenn Franklin Buck, 72, Clarksville, died Saturday, July 18, 2009, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Kirkwood Baptist Church with Rev. Mitchell Allen, Rev. Ed Manners and Rev. J. Ray Mullen officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home and from 12:00 PM until the hour of service Tuesday at the church. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born Nov. 21, 1936 in Montgomert County Kirkwood Community,son of William Edward Buck and Elizabeth Benton Buck.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Edward Dee Buck. He was the retired owner of Bucks Body Shop and a farmer. He was a graduate of CHS 1957, All American in sophomore and junior years in football, State Championship in Football in 1955. He was a member and deacon of Kirkwood Baptist church, Board of Directors of Montgomery Conversation Club and recipient of the Lester Solmon Award in 2005. He is survived by his wife Margaret Mullen Buck, of Clarksville, one daughter Melody Fleming of Ashland City,two sons David Glenn (Mary P) Buck, Jay Buck(Lori) Buck, one sister Betty R. Buck, two grandchildren Tyler Emmett Jackson and Presley Abigail Buck all of Clarksville. Pallbearers will be Mark Arms, Chris Bible, Daniel Hightower, James P'Pool, Kyle Cauley, Denzil P'Pool, Herbert "Pee Wee" Stanley, John W. Allensworth, Jr.
