WORCESTER__An Van Huynh, 73 years old, of Worcester, died Friday, July 17, 2009 in St. Vincent Hospital, 123 Summer St.
He leaves his wife, Luot Thi (Do) Huyen; two sons, Danh and Thanh of Worcester; five daughters, Binh, Dung Huong, Lien and Minh, 19 grandchildren, 2 sisters in Vietnam, nieces and nephews. He was born in Vietnam, the son of Hoa and Nam (Nguyen) Huynh and moved to the United States in 1995.
Mr. Huynh worked as a machinist prior to retiring. He was a member of Our Lady of Vilna Church. Mr. Huynh was an active member of his church and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Prior to 1975, he served in the South Vietnamese Army.
The funeral will be held on Monday, July 20, from HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Vilna Church, 151 Sterling St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday, July 19, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
