Ray G. Cross, 82, Clarksville, died Friday, July 17, 2009, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. Bob Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday and from 10:00 Am until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born August 30, 1926 in Columbus, Ohio, son of Ray G. Cross and Ruth Buzzard Cross. He was a member of First Canaan Baptist Church and FOP Lodge #23. He was retired from the US Army and retired Deputy Sheriff Department in Hampton,VA. He is survived by his wife Johanna Entoch Cross of Clarksville, one daughter Charlotte Crockett of Palmyra, one sister June Hummel of Shelby, OH, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
