William “Tommy” Henon, Sr. 69, beloved husband of Alice (Wells) Henon, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Kindred Hospital.
Born in Louisville, he was the son of the late Richard and Ethel Henon. He was Catholic by faith. After 42 years of service, he retired from Dixie Sanitation.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Lee Henon.
He is survived by his wife of 48 wonderful years, Alice Henon; sons, William “Tommy” Henon Jr. and John Henon Sr. (Terri); brothers, Jesse Henon and Richard Henon; sisters, Dorothy Simpson, Mayme Downs, Martha Mitchell and Mary Guffey; four grandchildren, including his granddaughter and special caregiver, Allie Henon; four great-grandchildren and one expected great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with entombment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens, West.
