Obituary

Julia Mae Stephens Mangham, 93, of Tifton, formerly of Ty Ty, died Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Bradley Place Assisted Living. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2009, at Ty Ty First Baptist Church. Rev. Jim Duggan and Rev. Chad Hall will officiate with burial to follow in Ty Ty First Baptist Church Cemetery. Tommy Pritchett, Steve Pritchett, Bryan Truelove, Bob Shaw, Pait Willis and Cecil Walters will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Ty Ty First Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2009, with the family receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.

Mrs. Mangham was born on October 8, 1915 in Worth County and was the daughter of Robert Stephens and Mary Lou Poole Stephens, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Willis Mangham; and one brother, Robert Stephens. She was a homemaker and a member of Ty Ty First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Mangham is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Amos Fletcher of Ocilla; her grandchildren and their spouses, Judith and Brian Gibson of Ty Ty and Tift Fletcher of Ocilla; her great-grandchildren and their spouses Ryan and Misty Gibson, Dusty Gibson, Daniel and Melissa Gibson and Coleman Fletcher; one brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Geraldine Stephens of Ty Ty; and two sisters-in-law, Inez Shaw of Ty Ty and Bernice Willis of Tifton.
