Obituary

Mrs. Nell Dorminey Gresham, 93, of Fitzgerald, died Wednesday, July 15, at the Osceola Nursing Home in Ocilla.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Friday, July 17 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with Bishop Jim Earl Swilley and Rev. Barry Gordon officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gresham was born August 31, 1915 in Ben Hill County to the late Frank and Sallie Thompson Dorminey. She lived in Fitzgerald most of her life and was a former employee of Fitzgerald Mills, Friedlander’s Department Store and a former Paraprofessional at Lynwood School. Mrs. Gresham was an accomplished artist in oil painting and needlepoint. She was a member of Crossview Baptist Church.

Mrs. Gresham is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley & John Flanders of Conyers; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Eloise Gresham Duncan of Waynesboro, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Lee Gresham, son, Jimmy Gresham, daughter, Barbara Gresham Norvell, brother, Bud Dorminey and sisters, Thelma “Sis” Gordon, Wilma Posey and Lillie Seagroves.
