GILMANTON
Edward T. Blakeney, 62, of Route 106 died July 26, 2003 in the Hospice House in Concord. He was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick on June 6, 1941, the son of Oliver W. and Eva M. (Larty) Blakeney.
He was a graduate of Laconia High School, class of 1960 and attended Arizona State University. A graphic artist, he was employed for 16 years by the Bovie Screen Process Printing Company of Bow. He was self-employed for several years and has spent the last three years in production and marketing with Sign-A-Rama in Concord.
He is survived by two sons, Allan C. Blakeney of Manchester and Errol W. Blakeney of Amosville VA; a grandson, Jeremy Tyler Blakeney of Chandler AZ.; a sister, Sally Abbott and her husband Frank of Laconia; a brother Oliver E. Blakeney and his wife Geraldine of Rochester NH; nieces, nephews and his former spouse, Carol Gonyer of Manchester. In addition to his parents, Mr. Blakeney was pre-deceased by a sister, Elsie R. McLean in 1999 and a nephew, Dan E. Harbour of Denver CO in April 2003.
There are no calling hours. A memorial ceremony will be held on Saturday August 9th at 11:30 AM in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St., Laconia. George Hankins-Hull, Spiritual Care Coordinator of LRGHealthcare will officiate.
