Manchester– Jeanne V. (Villeneuve-Therrien) MacKenzie, 92, died July 13, 2009 at Villa Crest Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She was born in Coventry VT., on May 20, 1917 the daughter of Philip and Cecile (Angers) Villeneuve.
Prior to her retirement she worked for Lord’s Department Store.
She enjoyed playing cribbage. Her spirit, love and smile warmed many hearts in the nursing home.
She was predeceased by two husbands, George Therrien, in 1951, and Elmer MacKenzie in 1988.
Family members include one son Norman Therrien of Wakefield NH, two daughters, Doris Balcom of Allenstown, Jeanne Stasz of Ludlow VT., seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two brothers, William Villeneuve and Philip Villeneuve, both of St. Johnsbury VT., several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: Calling hours will be on Thursday from 10am to 12 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral home 110 Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 12:30 pm in St. Joseph Cathedral, Pine St. following calling hours.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
