Rura McNair, 97, of Tifton died Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Tift Health Care. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 13, 2009, in Omega Cemetery. Rev. N. C. Spradley will officiate with burial to follow in Omega Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals on Monday, July 13, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Miss McNair was born on October 13, 1911 in Palaski County and was the daughter of Charles A. McNair and Mattie Johnson McNair, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Eupha McNair Barge. She was retired from C. O. Smith and Company in Moultrie as a bookkeeper.
Miss McNair is survived by two nephews, John T. Barge of Cuthbert and Bobby Joe Barge of Tifton.
