Edward Francis. Baker of Plymouth formerly of Norwood, passed away suddenly on July at the age of 70. Survived by his beloved wife Charlotte (Poplasky) of Plymouth, his daughters Whitney Baker – Dow of Plymouth, Cori Newhall of Dorchester and Mary Lynn Baker of Mansfield and his 4 cherished grandchildren Connor, Cameron and Colin Edward Dow and Aiden Newhall. He also leaves his sisters Ann Sullivan of Weymouth formerly of Canton and Elaine Violante of Randolph and his brother Michael Baker of Boston. Father of the late Greg Baker. Edward was born in Boston, raised his children in Norwood has lived in Plymouth for 5 years. He enjoyed spending his summers in Hull and taking his family on vacations. He was a teacher at Westwood High School for 44 years where he taught math and was involved in many student activities. He was also a professor at Northeastern for over 20 years and Cape Cod Community College. He was a former member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association. He loved spending his time with his grandsons, his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, going to fine restaurants and shopping. His family called him the “Coupon King”. He was a loving, caring and generous person and will be missed dearly. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 13th at St. Bonaventure’s Church at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) on Sunday, July 12th from 4 to 8 PM. Burial will be private.
