Sally Anne (McCarron) Cause, 85, of Harwich, a lifelong resident of Winchester, passed away at Cape Cod Hospital following a long illness. Born and raised in Winchester, she was the daughter of the late Jerimiah and Bridget (Kerrigan) McCarron. A graduate of Winchester High School, for many years, she was employed as an office manager with Porter Co. Real Estate in Winchester. In her spare time, Sally was a dedicated member of St. Mary’s church in Winchester, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and as a Lector. She was also a member of the Ladies Sodality and the Mr. and Mrs. Club at St. Mary’s. In addition, she served as president of the Mother’s Club and as a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary. Sally was the beloved mother of Anne Cause of Yarmouthport and F. Joseph Cause and his wife, Cheryl, of Maine. She was the former wife of the late Frederick J. Cause and the dear sister of the late Eunice McGeehan, Betty Lucey, Jerimiah, Neil and John McCarron. She is further survived by her grandson, James Thayer Cause of Beverly. Her funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Tuesday, July 14 at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Mon. from 5-8 PM. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
