Paul J. Rogers, 40, of Westport passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 7, 2009. Born and raised in Rockaway Beach, NY, son of Paul E. Rogers of IN and the late Jeanne A. (Rundle) Rogers, he had lived in Boston for several years prior to moving to Westport 7 years ago. He was vice president of shipping for L.J. Rogers Inc. of Westport. Mr. Rogers enjoyed photography of nature, the beach and being out on the boat fishing, but most of all he loved his kids and his sister with whom he shared a special bond with.
Including his father, survivors include 2 daughters: Kayla M. Rogers of Westport and Alyssa M. Nellen of Westport; 2 sisters: Laura J. Mullin and her husband Jim of Westport and Jessika M. Rogers of IN; and uncle: Charles Rogers of PA; 3 nieces: Kathleen A. Mullin, Sara E. Mullin and Farrah Blankinship; 2 nephews: James M. Mullin III and Christopher P. Mullin; several very special cousins: Pamela, Charles, Michelle, Maryann and Gail; special friend Dina Miller; and his former wife: Tina Rogers.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, July 11, 2009 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Friday 5 - 8 P.M.
Interment will be private.
