Sue Harrell, 55, of Tifton died Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2009, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Robert Beggs will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Wallace NeSmith, Danny Jones, Bob Harrell, Terry Mayne, Van Belflower and Edward Scarberry will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 11, 2009, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Harrell was born on March 28, 1954 in Tift County and was the daughter of Robert Lee “Dick” Harrell and Mildred Rogers Harrell, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Milton Harrell and Bobby Lee Harrell. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Ms. Harrell is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Wendell Waldrop of Tifton; one nephew, Lee Waldrop and his wife, Tonia; two nieces, Angie Scarberry and Jody Scarberry and her husband, Tommy; one great nephew, J. J. Scarberry; and three great nieces, Sierra Scarberry, Courtney Waldrop and Amber Waldrop.
