Obituary

Carol Anne Courtois, age 62, of Tewksbury, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2009 at Tewksbury Hospital.

She was born in Lowell on Oct. 29, 1946, the daughter of the late Raymond and Loretta (Houde) Courtois. Carol Anne was a resident of Tewksbury Hospital for the past 25 years. During her time there, she participated in many programs and events such as the Special Olympics where she received many medals. She was also involved in many events with the Special Olympics in the Lowell and Boston areas.

Prior to living in Tewksbury, Carol Anne resided in Lowell where she attended the former Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Parish and was also a former member of R.A.R.A. where she participated in special programs such as dancing and exercise. She also enjoyed bowling, music and spending time with her family.

She is survived by a sister and a brother-in-law, Jacqueline and Paul Paradise of Dracut; two nephews, Paul Paradise, II of Lowell and Shawn Paradise of Dracut; also many aunts, uncles, cousins as well as the staff and friends at Tewksbury Hospital who she considered her extended family.

Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Thursday, July 9, from 4 to 8pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10 o'clock at the Parish of St. Rita of Lowell. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
