CHILDERS, RAYMOND WEST, 79, passed away Monday, July 6, 2009.
He was a retired teacher for Jefferson County Public Schools where he taught at Pleasure Ridge Park High School for 26 years. He was a member of South Jefferson Baptist Church and an Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Childers.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie Jupin-Childers; his daughters, Pamela Walton (Charles), Karen Childers and Marsha Williams (Billie); eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Susie Lish (Kenny), John Michael Jupin (Judah) and Sandy Hundley (David); and his brothers, Irvin, Freddy and Earl Childers.
Funeral service will be noon Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Springfield, KY.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday.
