Frank J. “Franco” Sarrica Jr. 29, of Franklin, died Monday July 6, 2009 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, following a long illness.
Born in Framingham, November 19, 1979 a son of Frank J. and Joanna (Poggi) Sarrica of Franklin he was a lifelong town resident. He was educated in local schools, and was a graduate of Franklin High School.
He was employed as a pest control technician for the Terminix Corporation. He was a member of the Association of St. Anthony of Padova, and loved fishing, trips to New Hampshire, the Boston Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister Lorraine M. Sarrica of Franklin and her dear friend Ken Gibbons, his paternal grandfather Salvatore Sarrica of Franklin his fiancée Jessica A. Lesch of Franklin. He was the nephew of George Sarrica and his wife Kathleen of Oregon, Mario Sarrica and his wife Cheryl of Norfolk, Janice Poggi of Franklin and Joanne Chaiton and her husband Richard of Franklin. He also leaves his cousins Bobby & Anthony Chaiton, Maryellen Brownlee and her family, David Sarrica and family, Mario Sarrica Jr. and family, Julie Heistand and her husband, and his faithful friend “Bella” his English Bull Dog.
He was the grandson of the late Giovanna Sarrica, Agnes and Sarge Poggi, and the great nephew of the late Jane Sciaba.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Thursday July 9th, at 11:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. (www.franklinfuneral.com) with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. at 12 noon.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
