Solange L. “Sally” (Beliveau) Cote, 70, of Manchester died July 26, 2003 at Elliot Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Manchester on July 18, 1933, she was the daughter of Ubald and Yvonne (Vincent) Beliveau. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester and a graduate of Sacred Heart School.
Mrs. Cote worked at J.F. McElwain Shoe Company, Garon’s Market, A & P Supermarket and Ferretti’s Supermarket all in Manchester. She also worked at Building 19 and American International Group both in Manchester.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to caring for her family, she handmade afghans and baby blankets and donated them to unwed mothers through Our Place Pregnancy & Parenting Program, which is a service of New Hampshire Catholic Charities.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Helena Lemieux and Lucille Gendron.
The family includes her husband of 43 years, Ernest P. Cote of Manchester; three children, Marie J. Cote-Roth of Portsmouth, Daniel P. Cote and his wife Sheri Cote both of Groton, CT and Gerry Cote of Manchester; three grandchildren, Heather Marie Cote, Jennifer Lee Cote and Christopher Daniel Cote all of Groton, CT; four sisters, Sr. Irene Beliveau of Three Rivers, Quebec, Jeannette Daneau of Manchester, Theresa Morin of Hooksett and Pauline Thibeault of Manchester; many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday June 30, 2003 in St. Pius X Church, corner of Candia Rd. and Sarto St., Manchester. Burial was in St. Augustin Cemetery, Beech St., Manchester.
