GLOUCESTER: Scott A. MacRae, 38, of Lanesville died unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, July 2, 2009.
Born in Gloucester on April 25, 1971, he was the son of Judith F. (Wilber) MacRae of Gloucester and the late Robert D. MacRae. He was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and a graduate of the Gloucester High School class of 1989. He had also attended Northeastern University.
Scott had been employed for several years at Gloucester Engineering. He had also been employed at Masconomet Healthcare in Topsfield as well as Mullen Advertising in Wenham. Most recently he had completed a program to become a certified computer technician.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Ruth Wilber, a sister and brother-in-law, Kristin A. and Adam B. Catto, Jr., a niece, Meghan Catto, two nephews, Michael and Eric Catto, aunts and uncles, Christine, wife of Stephen Demetri of Fairfield, CT, Cynthia Caissie of Cape May, NJ, Sandra, wife of Joseph Nadeau, Ronald, husband of Charlene Newman and Thomas Nolan and many cousins. He was also predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Roy Wilber, paternal grandparents, Kathleen and Alexander MacRae, an aunt, Kathleen Nolan and uncle, Paul MacRae.
His funeral service will be held privately in the Seaside Cemetery, Lanesville. There are no visiting hours.
