Obituary

Leah Doyle, 88, of Old County Road, Smithfield, died Sunday, July 5, 2009. She was the widow of Frank O. Doyle.

Born in Smithfield she was a lifelong resident and daughter of the late Leander and Bertha (Andrews) Emin.

Leah was a church organist, former Deputy Town Clerk and integral part of family businesses.

She is survived by her daughters Kerrie Doyle of Smithfield, Lori Doyle Place and her husband David Place of Wellesley, MA, three sisters Madonna Mott of Barrington, Kathleen Thornton of Dresden, ME, Elodie Blackmore of Smithfield, and her three grandchildren; Emily, Hayley and Colin Place. She was the mother of the late Francis and Kevin Doyle and sister of the late Colette Powers and Leander Emin.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Georgiaville. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Wednesday 5-8pm.
