Obituary

Patricia L. Cote, 83, a longtime resident of Danville passed away Monday July 6 at the Exeter on Hampton Nursing Facility in Exeter. Patricia was born in Lynnfield, MA to the late Howard and Doris (Mickle) Robidou. She was an active civil servant and served as a Selectman for the Town of Danville for many years as well as a member of the town Budget Committee and a trustee to the Trust Funds. She also served in Danville as an EMT and a police officer. Mrs. Cote served for over 20 years as the State Representative for the 9th District of Rockingham County. She also served as the PTA president, a pack leader for Cub Scouts, a 4-H leader and a Trustee for the Colby Library. Her free time was spent knitting, sewing, crocheting, reading and most importantly to her, with her family.
Her 7 loving children, Dorothy Billbrough of Danville, Pamela Mitchell of Danville, Alfred Cote of Iowa, Charles Cote of Danville, Ellen Nadeau of Cape Elizabeth, ME, Kathleen Faxon of FL and Frances DeSouza of Somerville, MA, survive her. She also leaves her siblings, Alma Leblanc of Manchester, NH and P.Jane Smith of Danville, 13 loving grandchildren, Kelly Ball, Daniel Wilson, Thomas Billbrough, Timothy Billbrough, Matthew Mitchell, Geoffrey Mitchell, Brandon Cote, Heather Cote, Kaitlyn Cote, Veronica Meyer, Jonathan Cote, Julie Woolever , James Cote and 15 cherished great grandchildren. Mrs. Cote was predeceased by her husband Alfred J. Cote in 2001 and by her daughter Barbara McNulty in 2007.
The family received friends Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium, 15 Birch St, Derry. The burial was held privately in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield, MA.
