In Haverhill, MA. July 4, 2009 Gloria M. (Pontbriand) Correia passed away in the Baker-Katz Nursing Home after a lengthy illness at the age of 83. Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Correia. She was born in Brockton to her late parents Alpheria & Helen (Landry) DePontbriand. Gloria was residing in Haverhill since 2000 and lived in Raynham for 25 years prior to that. She was educated in Brockton schools and graduated fron Brockton High School. Gloria worked as a real estate agent for many local companies and also a bookeeper. She enjoyed quilting and sewing. Gloria leaves her two sons Bruce Correia of Salem, NH. and Mark Correia of Camarillo, CA. Her sister Yvette Bessett of Oregon. Her grandchildren Steven, Matthew, Jonathan, Andrew, Nicole and Jacob. A funeral home service will be held on Thursday, July 9th at 11am. in the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton, MA. Visiting hours are one hour prior to the service from 10-11am. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
