Mr. Marc A. Gallant Sr., 34, passed away Sunday July 5th, 2009 at his home surrounded by family after a lengthy battle with cancer .
Marc was born February 9, 1975 in Lowell, Massachusetts a son of Robert and Dorothy(Joslin) Gallant who survived him.
Marc a lifelong resident of Lowell was a graduate of Greater Lowell Vocational School where he studied being an auto mechanic. Upon his graduation he found work as a HVAC technician, working for Lamco Systems and J & J. Systems.
Marc battled his cancer over the past seven years never complaining but enjoying his family, his four wheelers, his Yankees, and his love of music.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Kelly(Skidmore) Gallant of Lowell, a son, Marc Gallant Jr. of Lowell, a stepson, Brendan M. Boisvert and a stepdaughter, Victoria L. Boisvert both of Merrimack, N.H.; two brothers, Robert Gallant Jr. and his wife Marlene of Nashua, N.H., Joseph Gregory and his wife Julie of Arizona; six sisters, Paula Labonte and her husband David of Dracut, Priscilla Champoux and her husband Roland of Lowell, Charleen Romano and her husband John of Lowell, Kim Gallant and her companion Jerry Silva of Derry, N.H., Doreen Beautry and her husband Eddie of Lowell, Pam Giusti and her wife Katy of Hudson, N.H.; his mother-in-law Susan Skidmore of Hudson, N.H.; many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and friends.
Friends will be received at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St. Lowell on Tuesday from 4 to 8pm. His funeral will take place on Wednesday at 9am from the Funeral Home to be followed by a Funeral Mass at St Michael’s Parish in Lowell at 10am. Interment will be private.
