Obituary

Lucille A. (Bebeau) Butler 73 years, of Raynham died July 4, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. She was the loving wife of James J. Butler for 44 years. Lucille was born and raised in Wilder, VT a daughter of the late Edward and Doris (Bouchier) Bebeau and moved to Brockton in 1966. She had lived in Raynham for the past 2 years having previously resided in Matfield Woods, West Bridgewater.
Lucille was a homemaker devoted to her home and family. She was also a very talented knitter involved with many charitable programs which included Project Linus which provided security through blankets to children and Knacky Knitters at Good Samaritan Medical Center which dedicated their services in making newborn booties and bonnets for the maternity unit. With the Telephone Pioneers she made Huggie Bears for state and local police to keep in their cruisers for emergencies.
Lucille had also been a volunteer at the Good Samaritan and former Goddard Hospitals and dedicated more than 15,000 hours of service. She was a member of the Humane Society and Best Friends and enjoyed time with her dog “Abigail”. She also enjoyed gardening in her yard and trips year round to her home in North Haverhill, NH.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her three sons Kevin J. Butler and his wife Lucia of Bridgewater; James C. Butler and his partner Rachel Parsons of East Bridgewater and Daniel E. Butler and his partner Nicklas White of Raynham. She was the grandmother of Andrew, Christopher, Conor and Ashlyn Butler and the sister of Richard and Ronald Bebeau both of Wilder, VT; Rita Mace of Quechee, VT; Dorothy Langley of West Lebanon, NH; Joyce Napolitano of White House, TX and the late Edward Bebeau, Jr. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 9am. Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church West Bridgewater at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8pm.
