Obituary

Mr. Robert M. Stima, a life long resident of Woburn passed away July 3rd at the Saints Memorial Hospital in Lowell following a lengthy illness. Born in Woburn he was the son of the late Rosemary H. (Collins) and Michael W. Stima.

Robert was a 1964 graduate of Woburn High School and worked for many years as a machinist. He was also a United States Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War honorably serving from 1966 to 1970. While in the service he was station at several different bases but enjoyed his time stationed in Arizona most of all. Robert always enjoyed learning new skills. He loved to read and write and especially enjoyed reading tales and poems by Edgar Allan Poe. As a young man he enjoyed playing basketball, checkers and was an avid sports fan.

Robert is survived by his sister, Barbara Stima of Woburn, his brother, Michael J. Stima and his wife Carol, of Woburn and he was the loving uncle of Michael W. Stima of Woburn. Robert is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

His funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Wednesday, July 8th, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 100 Washington St., Woburn, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Services will conclude with military honors and burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Robert's memory to the Woburn Council of Social Concern, 2 Merrimac St., Woburn, MA 01801.
